Nymphaea Gloriosa is a very free-flowering cultivar with cup-shaped, lightly scented, bright red flowers held above the water surface. The center is filled with stamens colored yellow and orange-red. This hybrid has oval, green floating leaves that emerge light purple with dark purple blotches. Leaf undersides are purple-brown with lighter green veins. They are supported by flexible purplish brown stems that arise from a thick rhizome growing hortizontally in mucky soil below. It's an excellent choice for any size water garden from small to large.
