Tomato SWIFT is an early maturing, ready to be harvested in relatively shorter time frame of 50-55 days, home garden variety developed and released to the trade in 1961. In addition to early maturity, Tomato SWIFT is a high yielding variety with smooth, good quality fruit.
Determinate, compact, average spread 3 feet, foliage medium green and sufficiently dense to provide moderate cover for the fruit.
Fruit is medium uniform round pale green when immature, red when mature. Flesh is bright red; thick-walled; shape globular, average diameter 5.5 cm. The fruit is free from concentric cracking and dark green shoulders resulting in uniform ripening. Flavor is mildly sub acid.
