Brachycome (Brachycome Iberidifolia Blue Splendor) - Also known as Swan River Daisy, this sweet little flower establishes easily from flower seed. Brachycome is perfect for containers and hanging baskets as it spills gracefully over the edges. Brachycome Blue Splendor is covered with masses of brilliant blue daisy blooms, and it has an attractive ferny foliage that grows in a mounding habit. Grown in full to part sun, Brachyscome daisy plants will reach 25cm and bloom from early summer until autumn.
In early spring, sow Brachycome seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Keep flower seed moist until germination. Transplant seedlings after danger of frost has passed. Swan River Daisy seeds can also be started directly outside in a prepared seedbed after temperature warm.
