This old-fashioned open-pollinated and HEIRLOOM variety produces 8 rows of large, yellow kernels on 12-18cm cobs – the plant grows to 1.5m to 2m producing two or more cobs. Golden Bantam’s sweet flavor is fantastic for fresh eating or freezing on the day it is picked. This variety has rich flavor and has been a home garden favorite since the beginning of the 20th century. It is suitable for early sowing as it tolerates cooler soils than other varieties.
